What is needed for the calculation
The date of birth is required. The time matters too: without it the houses and the Ascendant cannot be calculated and the reading covers the planets only. The place of birth is needed for the time zone and coordinates.
How it differs from a horoscope
A daily horoscope is written for a whole sign. A natal chart is only about you: it never changes and explains why some things come easily and others take effort.
